2022 MO Rep districts in Jackson County

State Reps and Senators have no power to move a bill forward. They can only present it.

Then it moves through a committee where it is controlled by the chairman of that committee.  See House Committee ChairsSenate Committees

Then it moves to the House or Senate floor, where it is controlled by the house speaker, house floor leader, senate president, and senate floor leader.

No member can get anything done unless leadership moves filed legislation. All members can only file a bill or speak on a bill. It is leadership who gets things into law. So be prepared to email or call our state leaders:

Dean Plocher-R, Speaker of the House -

      Dean.Plocher@house.mo.gov

Jon Patterson-R (Jackson County), House Floor Leader - Jonathan.Patterson@house.mo.gov

Caleb Rowden-R, Senate President Pro Tem - 573-751-3931 - caleb.rowden@senate.mo.gov,

Cindy O’Laughlin-R, Majority Floor Leader - 573-751-7985 - cindy.olaughlin@senate.mo.gov,

Below is the House vote (May 2023) to protect minor children from gender surgery. Chris Sander and Jon Patterson did NOT vote to protect children from genital mutilation, May 2023

Below is the Missouri Senate vote to ban Diversity-Equity-Inclusion in Missouri schools (Apr 2023)

Yes = ban it;  No = allow it.

Senator Mike Cierpiot and 8 other Republicans joined with the Democrats and voted NO to allow it, giving Democrats a big win, and us a big loss.

What a shame that Republicans can’t stand together! With just 2 more votes the ban would have passed.

Here is the Senate vote for the 7-1 Map in Dec. 2022

According to this vote we have:

Patriots: Brattin, Burlison, Eigel, Hoskins, Koenig, Moon, Onder, Wieland.

RINO’s: (Republicans who vote with Democrats) Bean, Bernskoetter, Brown, Cierpiot (Jackson County), Crawford, Gannon, Hegeman, Hough, Luetkemeyer, O’Laughlin, Rehder, Rowden, Schartz, White

Notice ALL the Democrats voted NO and 14 Republicans joined them.
