Truth in Reporting
We are in a fierce struggle to retain our freedoms in this country—freedom of speech, religion, movement and even freedom of thought. Many people are unaware that when these freedoms are gone, and we are controlled by corrupt leaders, thru deceit and fraud, then we will never be able to get them back. Look at the big cities in America. Once the Democrats took over, there is no way to get them out. They control the elections, the councils, the police, the tax money, and even the media.
There was a great struggle in our country during the Civil War. President Lincoln, who was trying to save the union, was very frustrated at his generals. At one point he lamented that he couldn’t find a general who could win a battle. Thankfully, he finally found that man in Ulysses Grant.
We feel some of Lincoln’s frustration with our Republican representatives to our state legislature. We have a Republican super majority in Jeff city, but we are in great DANGER next Fall of several ballot initiatives (such as abortion and same-sex marriage) becoming part of the state constitution. We asked our legislatures to make it harder to change the constitution, but they squabbled over what will be in the final bill, or they are wasted time trying to get sports betting passed. Maybe some of them are obligated to a lobbyist or a big donor, but for whatever reason — they FAILED!
Every time an issue goes to the ballot, we lose—cannabis, right to work, “clean Missouri”—all of which are wrong for Missouri. We always lose a ballot initiative because out-of-state dark money and fraudulent big city precincts always seem to “create” just enough votes to win. Did you notice what happened in Ohio, Aug 8? They tried to make it harder to change their constitution by putting it on the ballot and it failed. As expected, the voting machines “failed” on election day, and the people were told to put their ballots into trash bags to be counted later. How long will we put up with this? Someone said, “Republicans chase voters, while Democrats chase ballots.” Heck, they don’t even need voters. They just need ballots, and they always find just enough.
I feel the frustration of Lincoln when I say, “Can’t we get legislators who will FIGHT for the rights and wishes of the people?” Part of the blame is in the populace though. Many people just don’t care enough to pay attention. They absolutely don’t know the danger to our freedoms. And how would they know, the media will never tell them the truth. Too many don’t want to hear about it; it’s just too upsetting to think about. But pushing it out of your mind doesn’t make it go away! That is how corrupt politicians get elected and unjust laws get passed.
And why didn’t Gov Parson call the state legislature back into special session and make them pass something to protect our constitution?
I am proud of our 2 US senators and our State Attorney General. They seem to be willing to fight for us, but we need stronger state legislators, especially we need new leadership in the state House and Senate. We need legislators who will commit to not electing all of the same leadership we have now. We need a group like the 19 Congressmen who held back Kevin McCarthy’s election as Speaker of the House, until he made concessions and gave up some power. Right now there are 4 people who totally control our state legislature — The Speaker of the House, House Floor Leader, Senate President Pro Tem, Senate Majority Floor Leader. We need legislators who will stand together and take back some power from them!

Why is Car Sales Tax so High?
With new and used car prices so high right now, the sales tax is getting a little ridiculous. We feel sorry for the young families that can hardly afford a car, much less the sales tax. Quite a few don’t pay it and just risk getting a ticket. The state thinks they are losing $40 to $80 million a year from people not paying their car sales tax.
It will be convenient that people will now (or in the somewhat near future) be able to roll the tax into their loans, but seems like the car tax should be lower, simply because cars are so expensive. The state rate of 4.225% gets increased by local governments, so there should be a cap. Branson's rate is 10.35%! Local governments have the legal right to whatever tax rate their voters will tolerate, but there should be a mandatory cap on cars to protect poorer people from abuse. (These same poor people often don’t realize that voting for Democrats means voting for higher taxes of all kinds.)
State Rep. Jeff Knight (R-Lebanon) is trying to resurrect a bill to do away with sales taxes on some vehicles. He says the average 10-year-old car has been sold 3 times, with state sales tax collected every time. Why did that bill not get to the House floor when it passed out of committee? Ask House Floor Leader, Jon Patterson (R-Lee’s Summit) <Jonathan.Patterson@house.mo.gov>. It would have been good to add this item to the bill having car dealers collect tax on new cars. Now, we will have to hear that whining sound that all politicians make, "but we will lose money...."
But we’re sure they were lobbied by new car dealers. Too many people would be opting for used cars to avoid the sales tax and not buying new cars. Two years ago the MO car dealers lobbied the state government to allow them to charge an “administrative fee” of up to $499 to be added to car sales (because IL and KS were doing it), and they passed a bill to allow it! So, if you wondered where that little surprise to car prices came from—it was our state legislators. They were so concerned about helping out the car dealers. Why are so few concerned about helping out the people?

The Fight for Fair Elections
Mike Lindell was in Springfield recently for a conference on securing our elections. It was a 2-day event with many speakers, and lots of evidence of voter fraud in our elections throughout the country. The sum of it all is that we must have PAPER BALLOTS, and HAND COUNTING at local precincts — no machines, which are too easily manipulated.
One county in Missouri did that this year. Osage county used paper ballots and did hand counting. Even though it will take more work, it’s the only way we can guarantee fair elections.
Aug 27 the RNC passed a Resolution supporting PAPER BALLOTS, HAND COUNTING, VOTER ID elections! It says, in part — "We are calling for a return to the simple and proven methods of election transparency. We will strengthen voter confidence and ensure that American election procedures can be a fair and open process for all to participate."
Now begins the fight to get our state legislature to listen and to stand up for fair elections.
