The Jackson County Republican Committee held a candidate Fair on Sept 24, and it was a great success. About 200 people showed up to socialize and talk to lots of candidates, especially those running for our State Legislature. In fact, it was so much fun, we are going to do it again and give more people a chance to attend!

Republicans are serious this election about winning in Jackson County. We are tired of Democrat mis-management. We want lower taxes, more efficient use of our tax money, honest and transparent government, better services, safer communities, and a better state Legislature that will get things done for the people. Come and join us for another great evening supporting great candidates.

Amendments on the ballot

See the Secretary of State site with the list of Amendments on the ballot.

We are categorically against ALL tax increases. The govt already gets too much of our money!

  • Amendment 1 - grant the General Assembly statutory authority to exempt all property, real and personal, used primarily for the care of a child outside of his or her home by general law.
  • Amendment 3 - removes Missouri’s restrictions on abortion - Vote NO
  • Amendment 4 - allow the general assembly by law to increase the minimum funding for a police force established by the state board of police commissioners to ensure such police force has additional resources to serve its communities.
  • Amendment 5 - allows the Missouri Gaming Commission to issue one additional gambling boat license to operate on the portion of the Osage River from the Missouri River to the Bagnell Dam - Vote NO (we have enough gambling in MO already)
  • Amendment 6 - levy costs and fees to support salaries and benefits for current and former sheriffs, prosecuting attorneys, and circuit attorneys to ensure all Missourians have access to the courts of justice.
  • Amendment 7 - specify that only United States citizens are entitled to vote. Vote YES
  • Proposition A - increase minimum wage January 1, 2025 to $13.75 per hour, increasing $1.25 per hour each year until 2026, when the minimum wage would be $15.00 per hour; equire all employers with 15 or more employees to provide one hour of paid sick leave for every thirty hours worked; exempt governmental entities, political subdivisions, school districts and education institutions

Voting “R” isn’t enough!

Tucker Carlson’s recent interview with Jesse Kelly hit on a big problem Republicans have. We vote for the “R,” but many of us don’t really know what that person stands for. Not many pay attention to primary elections or to school board elections, and therefore, we are losing the battle locally. We must wake up and educate ourselves about who these Republicans are we are voting for.

This same issue has caused a big problem in Jefferson City because, even with a super majority in both houses, we can’t get anything done. There are just too many RINOs, who we elected in the primaries, now doing their own wishes. So, the work done BEFORE the general election is what will make the difference in whether Republicans do the will of the people or their own thing. RINOs do NOT care about your wishes. They do NOT go to Jefferson City or Washington DC to represent you. They go to make money (for themselves and their campaigns) and to have power and prestige. They are easily bribed. Their vote is for sale to the highest campaign donor.

Jacomo News will help you know which “R” to support. Stay with us.

Are you tired of biased information on the internet?

If you want unbiased information, then DO NOT USE GOOGLE SEARCH ENGINE. We all know that google controls what we are “allowed” to see. Just days after the first assassination attempt Google was manipulating information available to us. Besides that, Google tracks everywhere you go. They know everything about you. But it’s easy to break free of them. Just choose another search engine!

These search engines don’t track you and allow unbiased searches — DuckDuckGo — SwissCows — Brave Search — StartPage — Mojeek — Tusk — FreeSpoke. If you don’t want to do your own research on all these, just use FreeSpoke. This link will show you how to add it as your default search engine. If you explore these search engines, you’ll be surprised and amazed what you’ll be able to find. It’s easy to break from the hold Google has on you and our country!

Internet terms can be confusing, but here is the difference between a browser and a search engine — a browser (Firefox, Safari, Chrome, Brave) is a program to display websites. a search engine (Google, DuckDuckGo, FreeSpoke) is a website that provides you with search results. Google, for instance, started out as a search engine in 1997, then in 2008 it released its Google Chrome browser. Brave is a good browser, and also has a search engine.

The Jackson County Republican committee is working hard to get our message out to the voters. The Democrats will NEVER be able to give you prosperity. Their policies, which are counter to prosperity, are all about control, regulations, and power to the elite few, which also means no freedom for you. They’ll never be able to give you safety because they love criminals more than law-abiding citizens.

Join our email list — If you are not on the Jackson County Republican email list, you can help us keep in touch by going to jacomo.gop or emailing us at editor@jacomonews.org - and join our list. We NEED to hear from all right-leaning voters in order to make you aware of the news that the media won’t cover. In fact, one of the best things you can do to help get conservative Republicans elected is to join an email list. This helps us get out the vote on election day.
